The Look: This shoe has a lot of things that I really like. The heel cup and ankle strap, the diagonal strap from near the toe across the instep and the narrow band across the toes. It’s also got a higher heel than most wedges. As well, I do love black. Though I usually prefer separate heels to wedges, I really think this design works well.
The Fit: Not quite as nice as it could be, but that is often the case when required to half-size up. I usually think my instep is high, but the looseness of the strap across makes me wonder on this shoe. But the rest of the shoe assures me that going with a 6.5 wouldn’t be an option – even the 7 is a little narrow in places though none of the straps bind.
Comfort: The problems with comfort are related to how loose the shoe is in the back third – instep to heel. Even with the ankle strap snug, the heel is still loose and the foot moves within. The heel, while high for a wedge, is well within the all day or considerable walking range except for the issue mentioned above. All day is still fine, but I would suggest (unless it fits closer) to limit how much walking will be required.
