The Look: They’re red. Therefore they’re awesome! While that isn’t precisely true, I don’t have a lot of shoes that aren’t black, white or some level of tan. The slightly orange tinge also makes it hard to find something to wear with them as well as a shade of polish that won’t look off. But they’ve got a 5 inch heel and only a 1 inch platform so 4 inches up and it looks great.
The Fit: I’ve tried a lot of BCBGeneration shoes and this is the only pair I’ve bought/kept. Most of them, even a half size up, are too narrow. Ordered online, I send them back and, of course, I won’t walk out of a store with them if they don’t fit. This one has a lot of extra shoe at the front and I’m not sure the toe straps go across in quite the right place, but I count it as acceptable.
Comfort: Hard to be really comfortable with 5 inch heels. And the toe straps being a little off has an effect as well. Not something to wear all day, however, or when there’s a lot of walking or standing to be done. Great for a dinner date, though, and wonderful if you can match or coordinate the colors.
