The Look: I always thought a transparent shoe, like Cinderella and her glass slipper, would be an awesome thing. It would be like being barefoot while wearing shoes – all the beauty of the natural foot would be readily apparent. Except it doesn’t work that way, which you can easily see if you look at the pictures of Cir Lucite on my feet. The transparency shows itself by pressing against the skin, disrupting the natural flow, flattening the curves. I’ve never worn these shoes anywhere and probably never will.
The Fit: A half-size up and most of the extra shoe is at the toe. Everything is still a bit snug, but not overly so, the ankle strap, even with a buckle, probably the worst.
Comfort: Snug, but not really uncomfortable. The heel is only 4 inches and the shoe is very stable, moving well wherever the foot goes. All the reasons I don’t like this shoe are about how it looks and it isn’t comfortable enough to overcome that.
