The Look: Bold. Broad black straps with buckles. While I do count this with my pretty shoes, it’s not really pretty, which is not to say that I dislike the look. Rather it makes a statement of confidence, perhaps a light taste even of dominance. Maybe a feminist ‘I can do anything’ attitude. The sole attribute of femininity is the 4 inch heel and the low platform.
The Fit: Not surprising, it’s a half size up. Still a pretty decent fit, though the toe strap looks a bit forward of the optimal positioning. The back ankle straps seem a bit looser than they should and aren’t significantly affected by tightening the buckle across the instep.
Comfort: Though high for a wedge heel, the comfort of the design is still very nice. Certainly a shoe for all day wear if you want, whether or not there’s walking/standing to be considered.
