The Look: In a moment of madness, I considered the fact that I had no lace-up shoes to be a bad thing and bought a couple pair. I don’t mind the look at all, the laces kind of sexy even. And this pair has the minimal strap across the toe that I do like from a visual standpoint. The high stiletto heel is another positive attribute. But the final picture isn’t, in my opinion, worth the journey – too much work involved in getting the laces right.
The Fit: The laces make it easier to fit different types of feet, but the toe strap is where the fit will or will not happen. It’s a half size up on mine and the strap is still a bit snug as well as the length being just a bit longer than my preference.
Comfort: This point really doesn’t apply to these shoes. The heel is too high, the toe strap too snug and getting the laces at that sweet spot where they aren’t hanging loose and they’re not digging into the skin is sometimes difficult to find. Dinner date maybe.
