The Look: These shoes have to be just awesomely beautiful. Why? Because I designed them. Kind of. The Shoes of Prey website has design capability where you make choices and design your shoes from the available options. These are white soft leather with a contrasting black outer sole, the heel cup, an ankle strap and a toe strap with a stiletto heel. Looking at the shoe fastened, the buckle looks normal, but it isn’t really buckled at all. If you look closely at the picture with just the shoes, you can see the hook near the heel, which goes over the front part of the buckle mechanism to fasten the shoe.
The Fit: For a company that claims custom made shoes, the sizing options aren’t as open as I’d like, especially for sandals. These are European size 37 which is the larger of the two sizes that were listed as 6.5. And that is the reason I didn’t go for the corresponding size to a 7 even though C(W) widths weren’t available (for sandals – discrimination!). While the straps aren’t too tight, the toe box sole is too narrow and with minimal effort, I can touch the floor/ground with my two outer toes.
Comfort: I’ve mentioned this before about sandals with narrow toe straps and high heels. Maybe it’s just me, but they aren’t comfortable. There isn’t enough holding the foot in place and it slides down into the toe strap which is suddenly tight across the foot and pinching.
