The Look: I’m, perhaps, overly fond of Benjamin Walk’s Touch Ups line and this shoe purchase is the result of a search on Touch Ups ordered by percent off and picking the next I don’t have where I like the look. What a way to buy shoes! Biggest money savings on a brand I really like sounds smart, but here it resulted in something unexpected. Yes, I like the look of the shoe as it shows on the website and in my little picture to the side with just the shoe. But then I tried it on and looked down. Wow, is that a beautiful shoe. It’s hard to find something bad about it even when I’m looking hard. Okay, it only shows four toes and my preference is all five. There’s nothing else.
The Fit: It’s a half size up, but it barely shows. A little room at the toes is just a little bit of extra room at the toes and it’s the same at the heel. The width is absolutely perfect and it would be hard to ask for a better fitting shoe. The single buckle takes care of every part of the shoe except the toe box, and the instep straps can slide up or down depending on requirements.
Comfort: I have to admit that, even with the platform, the heel is too high for a lot of standing/walking, but they’re fine for all day, perfect for dinner and a show. They’re beautiful and classy.
