The Look: While gold is one of my least chosen colors, this shoe makes it work very well. The platform and heel have a dark gold sparkle that closely matches the center ring. Lighter gold straps and sole soften the overall appearance in a complementary way. The slingback gives the shoe a more minimal look and goes very well into the design.
The Fit: Touch Ups, though most aren’t available in C(W) width, the half size up technique seems to get a shoe that is both wide enough and not overly too long. With the heel matching the rear of the shoe, there’s only about half an inch in front of the toes.
Comfort: The straps and the ring that comprise the toe box aren’t really comfortable. They aren’t too tight, but something about them, perhaps just the materials used, call attention. It would be hard to forget about shoes when wearing them. Other than that, the slingback design makes walking a bit strange, the side straps not quite enough to keep the heel from rising above the shoe.
