The Look: Some shoes, as I mentioned with my previous post on Touch Ups – Allie, look better on my feet than they did in the picture. This shoe is an example of the opposite. On the website where I purchased this pair, I loved the look of it, the crisscross on the toe box with the faux jewels along the top strap. But when I put them on and looked down, it was almost disappointment, not nearly as pretty on my feet as I’d been thinking they would be. I do like the heel strap configuration, very sexy crisscross up to the ankle strap. I do think the toe straps would be a lot nicer if they’d been set back on the shoe further, going over the top of the foot rather than just over the toes.
The Fit: Like most Touch Ups, it is a half-size up and the toe of the shoe extends a bit beyond my toes. It’s also a bit snug around the toes, even though they’re further back than they should be.
Comfort: Even with the snugness at the toes, it’s not an uncomfortable shoe to wear. The heel is too high for a lot of standing or walking, and I think long periods of wear would also be a bad idea due to the tightness around the toes.
